After the first module, the participant should have knowledge in waterfalls, agile methods, the difference between them, and the benefits of working with agile. The participant should be able to understand how to work in Scrum teams by applying the Scrum framework and processes, as well as have a top-level understanding of other agile methods and SAFe. The participant should understand how programming languages relate to each other and how they can be used together. The participant will also have knowledge about DevOps and how a typical developer career might look like.

  • The purpose of agile project management and how is is used for software development. 
  • The purpose, structure and building blocks of Scrum. 
  • Basic structures of SAFe. 
  • Common tools, languages and technologies.
  • Insights on a day of a developer's life and on what drives the most developers and what does not motivate them. 
  • Product backlog refinement, breaking down larger items into actionable tasks and the use of estimates.
  • Different languages and technologies. 
  • Parallels between job roles and developer competencies. 
  • Benefits of working agile compared with traditional methods.
