Tuff Leadership Training for Social Impact Organisations (Phase 1) is an intensive training (over 17 hours) where participants are challenged to reconsider their mental model and develop new abilities and mindsets essential to a trust-based and truly coaching leadership.
This document confirms that the participant has taken part in training and practice that addresses the ‘being’ of leadership, how one is perceived, and one’s mindset. They have spent time unpicking the traditional paradigm of ‘leader-as-boss’ in a down-to-earth, practical and tough way – with lots of true-to-life roleplaying cases and direct feedback. Fundamental to the programme is that employees are capable of handling, and being responsible for, much bigger challenges than they normally are entrusted with. Participants are trained to appreciate and relate to the very real potential of the team.
The training includes:
What an empowering, coaching leadership style is and what distinguishes it from a more traditional one
Important abilities of empowering, coaching leadership:
to listen effectively beyond the spoken words
to deliver a negative message with clarity and respect
Distinguishing one’s individual personal pitfalls as an empowering leader
